It took much longer to finish as the language is old Bengali sadhu vaasa. But it's always a nice experience to read in the original form.
There are English-translations of these tales too. Try them out if you can!
The language is difficult, one can find a lots of Sanskrit and Sanskrit oriented words; but not as difficult as Bankim Chandra. Descriptions are nice. Tagore dominated both the Bengali and Indian philosophical and literary scene for decades.
